Burnley Computers is a trading name of B Computers Limited, which is the data controller for information collected through this website.

To take and deliver an order we collect your name, email address, phone number, delivery address, billing address and, if you give it, your company name and VAT number. We keep a record of what you ordered, what you paid and where it was sent.

Card payments are handled by Stripe. Your card details go straight to Stripe and never reach our servers. Stripe's own privacy policy applies to the payment itself.

We email you a payment confirmation, your invoice and updates as your order is picked, packed, dispatched and delivered, or if there is a problem with it. These are service messages about something you bought, not marketing, and we do not add you to a mailing list.

When you use a WhatsApp button, your device opens WhatsApp with a message already written that identifies what you are asking about. Nothing is sent until you send it.

Once you message us we receive your WhatsApp display name, your number and the content of your messages, and use them to answer you and to carry out any order that follows. Our WhatsApp number is +44 7480 282353.

Your basket is kept in your own browser so it survives a page reload. No advertising or cross site tracking cookies are set.

Order and invoice records are kept for six years, as UK accounting rules require. Enquiries that do not lead to an order are deleted when they are no longer needed, or sooner if you ask.

We do not sell your information and we do not pass it to marketing companies. It is shared only where that is needed to complete your order: Stripe for payment, our email provider to send your order emails, our hosting and database providers to run the site, and the courier or carrier delivering your order.

Under UK data protection law you can ask what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete what we are not required to keep. Message us on WhatsApp on +44 7480 282353 and we will deal with it. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
